Creativity Retreat (Endless Possibilities)

Inner child exploration: playing with coloured pencils.

What if you are way more talented than you thought you were? What if life can’t wait to reveal wonderful things to you? What if something is waiting to come into being, but it can only happen through you? What if your thinking is too limited in terms of resources, opportunities and everything possible? What if…..

Are you the proud owner of a pulse? Then you are creative. And it has to do with much more than paint on canvas, clay on wheel or wood chips around your feet.

Too many people struggle with the word creativity. You can almost be certain that by hearing it they conjure up images of painters in paint smeared overcoats standing in front of large easels with a beret perched sideways on the head. Or even worse, someone wandering the street, one-eared and tormented. They give it one look and decide it’s not for them. In any case, the closest they’ll ever come to drawing is the drawing up of papers and contracts. They are not creative.

We beg to differ.

CREATIVITY MEANS BEING A UNIQUE OPEN CHANNEL FOR THE FREE FLOW OF ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

Now look at just how open-ended it is! In terms of medium, opportunity and person.

The creativity retreat was developed to remove those obstacles that are blocking the way between you and endless possibilities.

You will discover in the course of a weekend in a playful and carefree manner what your inner child (your soul, your essence) needs to feel alive. Through basic mindfulness techniques you learn how to be the unique channel for that which God dreams for you. (A clue at this point: those activities that make you totally oblivious of time and place while you’re busy doing it; that which you enjoyed doing as a child; or that which you will regard as too good to be true if you could do it all day long…. Start dreaming!)

By making these basic elements part of your daily life all aspects of your life is being touched. You have the experience of a bigger involvement in your own life, a deeper connection with something or Someone benevolent and expansive that is actively and visibly at work in your life. This new perspective leads to a feeling of self-worth, more energy, creativity and productivity. You are alive.

No art experience or background is required. No big art is going to be created. It is a weekend of carefree discovery in a small-group setting within beautiful and stimulating surroundings.

The retreat is guided by George and Matilda Angus (Meet us) in a small group context.
The venue for Creativity Retreats is either at The Restory on Barrowfield Farm or at the home of Ena Swart in White River, Mpumalanga. Ena's participation as hostess to the Creativity Retreats is in remembrance of her highly creative daughter and our beloved friend, Pauline Gutter. As an avid art collector her home oozes creativity. The ambiance speak deeply into the unconscious of our inner child. This is truly an Artist's haven.

Want my juk is draaglik en my las is lig.” ‭‭Matteus‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭AFR20‬ ‬                               Die Gesprek Elemente Uit Die Gesprek ~ ❖ ~ Question of the Day: How does one incorporate imperfection? In a Navajo rug there is always one clear imperfection woven into the pattern. And interestingly enough, this is precisely where the Spirit moves in and out of the rug! The Semitic mind, the Eastern mind (which, by the way, Jesus would have been much closer to) understands perfection in precisely that way. The East is much more comfortable with paradox, mystery, and non-dual thinking than the Western mind which ...

Lessons in Sunbirdish (1)

I have no way of proving that God exists. For a long, long time I believed because I didn't think I had a choice. If it is a choice between heaven and hell, you do what it takes to secure your celestial seat. Somehow I never stopped to consider why I so strongly believed in a heaven and hell, but wasn't nearly as sure that there's a God holding the keys to them. Then the sunbirds came. Slowly but surely I am being taught the dialect I need to converse with God. Or rather, to follow on what seems to be a trail that God leaves me. Being just up ahead and beckoning me all the while, it's not a chase after or a search for God, but rather a joint venture with God scouting and reporting back when my spirit runs low on this journey through life. In  A Rare Find  and  Bird on my window sill  I touched on synchronicity. I have come to believe that consciously living our moments, awakens us to the fact that there are more things in this life than meet the eyeball. Things t...
