What is a glass eye made of?

A man in a quiz show was given the question: What is a glass eye made of?
He really applied himself, but for the life of him just couldn’t come up with an answer.
“The answer, sir” said the host when the time was up, “is of course, glass.”
“But of course!” said the man. “How else would you be able to see through it!”

That came to mind when I was going through the following quiz about the weird and wonderful things in our world. Enjoy!

I am of the opinion that competitions that inform you that you are one of only a lucky few, quick rich schemes, anti-aging cream and tests where the answers are given, are usually stretching it. Pardon the pun, anti-aging cream!

Concerning all acts of initiative [or creation] there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.  All sorts of things occur to help one that would otherwise never have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man would have believed would have come his way." W.H.
