From The Restory -Conversations On The Journey (181)

The Unexamined Life (?) The Conversation  Elements From The Conversation  Music "Bird Song" is about a world that has been so thoroughly "examined," paved over, and stripped of its mystery that we are left with a paralyzing silence. It's a cry for re-enchantment. The "examination" here is the hyper-rational, concrete-pouring progress that has led to a spiritual and ecological crisis.    · "sing me a song and put me back to sleep / from the trees, breathe life back into me" This is a desire to return to a dreamlike, unanalytical state. She isn't asking for a lesson, but for a lullaby—a song that ends thought, not provokes it. It's a wish to be re-connected to the natural, unconscious world ("the trees") to be healed.  May horizons that stretch wide open for you. With all our love. George & Matilda

"sing me a song and put me back to sleep / from the trees, breathe life back into me" Dit is 'n begeerte om terug te keer na 'n droomagtige, onanalitiese toestand. George & Matilda

Creativity Gives The Conversation Elements From The Conversation Music Drawing Inside everybody's head  There's a place that they can go,  Where they're free to draw and doodle  All their fancy-doodle-doo. They can draw a cat-bat-raddle-daddle-  Floogle-boogle-bip,  Or a funny-looking-squimmily-wimmily  Slippery-slippery-slip. They can draw their thoughts and feelings  Instead of hiding them inside,  And no one else can see them...  Unless they want to show their pride. So if you see me staring into space,  And a kinda smile comes on my face,  And I kinda look up at the sky,  Don't bother asking me why... 'Cause I'm drawing  In my head. Shel Silverstein                                          Take note of what Shel is saying: "In  Everybody's  head...: Go and do it. Please! With all our love. George ...

Thoughts Pried Loose By A Birthday Picnic against Tafelkop on my birthday. The Conversation Elements From The Conversation ` Music This past year, I have heard Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, properly for the first time. It touches me deeply and I've caught myself listening to it often. The older I get, the more I become aware of my clumsy efforts and tattered plans being carried by an infinite Gentleness.  With our love. George & Matilda

Gedagtes Losverjaar Piekniek teen Tafelkop op my verjaardag Die Gesprek Elemente Uit Die Gesprek ` Musiek Ek het vanjaar vir die eerste keer Beethoven se Simfonie Nommer 7 werklik gehoor. Dit spreek baie diep tot my. George & Matilda
