Our Wise Guide - Our Body

Hello everyone

Still no recording. Which is half unexpected, because we should've been better this week from the cold/flu we had last week.

Well, that's not the case. Matilda is getting better, but her strength is still low. George has to behave even more quietly than last week, after the doctor diagnosed him with bronchitis.

There is no doubt in our minds that such times of less activity and rest are essential. Our bodies are wise guides that take us to places that lie outside the sphere of our heads. It does not help to fight against those bodily messages.

However, it is striking how difficult it is often for us to scale back and become quieter. How our inability to be busy, to finish things and to look back on a productive day plays into our identity and mood. How easily we feel guilty. What we use as criteria to justify our existence.

Such a time of illness brings you back to the meaning and value of the spiritual truths that have become clearer to you over time. To just keep returning to them. To realize the value of it and to live on a cellular level and not get stuck in old insecurities and fears.

Along with dusting off the spiritual insight and the medicine, humor also helps.

We are getting better. Thank you, everyone!

How we carrently feel.

"Tenderness". Such a beautiful word.
We always need it, but we owe it to ourselves,
especially when we don't feel well.

With our love.

George & Matilda

Skuld as Motivering Die Gesprek Elemente Uit Die Gesprek ~ ❖ ~ "I am convinced that guilt and shame are never from God. They are merely the defenses of the False Self as it is shocked at its own poverty — the defenses of a little man who wants to be a big man. God leads by compassion toward the soul, never by condemnation. If God would relate to us by severity and punitiveness, God would only be giving us permission to do the same (which is tragically, due to our mistaken images of God, exactly what has happened!)." Richard Rohr                 ~ ❖ ~ "It is about as hard to absolve yourself of your own guilt as it is to sit in your own lap. Wrongdoing sparks guilt sparks wrongdoing ad nauseam, and we all try to disguise the grim process from both ourselves and everybody else. In order to break the circuit we need friends before whom we can put aside the disguise, trusting that when they see us for what we fully are, they won't run away screaming w...
