From The Restory - Conversations On The Journey (190)

How Does Trust Develop? “Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life .....” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV                      The Conversation Elements From The Conversation Music Often, the first step is the most important and the most difficult. With our love.  How often is the love we experience from each other the love we experience from God? Human love is quite important, it seems. George & Matilda

Hoe Ontwikkel Vertroue? George & Matilda

Pause We are tired. The week was and the weekend is very busy and there was little time to just catch our breath. We need it. That's why we create this moment of silence first and foremost for ourselves, but we like to share it. Nothing deep. Just peaceful. So that, when that little gap in your day opens up, you can put your feet up, pour a cup of tea and take a deep breath. ~ ❖ ~ Clearing   Do not try to save the whole world or do anything grandiose. Instead, create a clearing in the dense forest of your life and wait there patiently, until the song that is your life falls into your own cupped hands and you recognize and greet it. Only then will you know how to give yourself to this world so worth of rescue.   – Martha Postlewaite                                                             ~ ❖ ~ With much love. Verposing Ons is moeg. ~ ❖ ~ Clearing   Do not try to save the whole world or do anything grandiose.   Control   The Conversation Elements From The Conversation Music In our attempts to control everything, including God, and place it in predictable boxes and compartments, we lose far more than we gain. Our lives do not become as safe as we had hoped. It becomes sterile. A blessing originally written by Ruth Fox for students receiving degrees at Dickinson State University in America.  May God bless you with Discontent with easy answers, half-truths, superficial relationships, so that you will live from deep within your heart. May God bless you with Anger at injustice, oppression, abuse, and exploitation of people, so that you will work for justice, equality, and peace. May God bless you with Tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that you will reach out your hand to comfort them and to change their pain to joy. May God bless you with the Foolishness to think you can make a difference in this world, so that you will do the things wh...

Dreams “For God does speak—now one way, now another—  though no one perceives it.  In a dream, in a vision of the night,  when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds,” ‭‭Job‬ ‭33‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ NIV                 ‬‬ The Conversation Elements From The Conversation Music As always, with our love.  George & Matilda

Deidré  We don't have a recording this week. Our words are few. Our daughter-in-law Deidré passed away unexpectedly last Friday. She leaves behind her husband Leon and 7-year-old daughter Ariana. Yesterday was the funeral service. Our efforts to adjust to her death have also begun. Emily Dickinson wrote about this process as follows: It doesn't happen every day, but in this case we don't completely agree with Emily.  We're not going to pack up our love.  Or is Emily saying more? That we and she are right?  After Deidré's death, we experience that our love for her is still an active force in our lives.  However, Emily describes another truth that we have also experienced. After such a sudden death, you tread water. You move in a haze and do things semi-automatically. You tidy up the house. Put things away. The instinctive work of those who mourn.  This is the difference between the long, lasting landscape of love and the sharp, devastating earthquake ...
