In the song The House Of The Rising Sun someone tells of his not-so-perfect life. Many of the traditional "sins" are there: a brothel, gambling, drinking, run-ins with the law. The basic message or theme revolves around regret, ruin and the consequences of a life gone astray. Where someone has actually abandoned themselves and the consequences of their actions are ultimately their "punishment".

Just to begin to think about the Divine Ground of our being is already the beginning of the journey.

A house renovated and painted with a new bathroom, the arrival of spring and rain, retreats, the CMR's knitting marathon, presenting and finishing the Refresher course in spiritual guidance, attending our granddaughter Ariana's graduation before she goes to big school next year.
