The Restory is a Retreat Centre nestled against Tafelkop, a singular mountain head near Wakkerstroom, South Africa. Here we live a simple life as contemplatives.
It is a place of re-connection: with ourselves, people, Nature, Silence and Creativity. Our retreats are aimed at this. Our conversations, writing and art centre around the univocity of life. We need a place that reminds us that we are all one. The Restory hopes to be such a place and space.

nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic,
today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable -
absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love.....”

Elements From The Conversation
When we (George & Matilda) ponder on this subject and look at it from the perspective of our own experience, the overarching theme is that God is not far-off, way distant from where He manipulates and guides things.
We take Jesus's message seriously - God is with you, in you. So intimately entwined that we cannot be separated.
Rainer Maria Rilke expresses it beautifully when he speaks against that backdrop about the vulnerability of God, even of a concern about God.

'n Duisend Hande Die Gesprek Elemente Uit Die Gesprek ~ ❖ ~ "Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative [or creation] there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would otherwise never have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man would have believed would have come his way." W.H. Ian McKellen gee nie om saam met wie hy sing nie, solank hy dit net kan doen.
